Also got a rock chuck at 192 with th .25 cal streamline. Although it shoots goo too I just like the size and feel of the .22 better. 22 shoots jsb 18 and 25 shoots jsb 34.

A 25 cal air rifle is shooting about as hard as a 22 rim fire (correct?) . I think we need to consider what happens with a less then perfect shot.

We got over 80 and that was the farthest, he would not be quiet. Was sounding the alarm to the others so we took a shot at him. I do practice out to 200 so I felt pretty good about the shot. I dialed my scope for that range, so I am not positive on holdover but it’s pretty close to 11 mil holdover. I have shot my 25 cal out to 200 in 10 yd increments and have a little notepad with those to dial with. The farmer could not keep a crop on the field this year so they had been trying to get them with .22 lr and traps. Technically it’s in a place where I think a firearm would be restricted so I chose the airgun, otherwise my .22 lr is good to 300 before there is not enough energy to kill. Have taken one at 304 with that setup. Either way they got the numbers down to be able to get crops this year so it all worked out.
I am sure though to be honest with that many shot that there were a few wounded, that is just the reality of hunting. But i only saw a few that weren’t dead in there spot because most shots were around 75 to 125, . And honestly it wasn’t that fun, I enjoy setting up for that one long sniper shot. Not a massacre but I could see how they were losing a lot in crops and damage and were ineffective to that point with their efforts. I am just getting too old, still like the hunt but not just killing anymore like I used to.

Nice shooting. I still hear all the time at the rifle range, your shooting a .22 at 100 yards? man thats too far. Then they see the 3/4 inch groups. So 192 on a chuck with someone that knows the gun? Oh yeah
