Kalibrgun and slugs

Hi guys,

I did some testing by firing slugs through my Kalibrgun Cricket .22 and .25 , and Kalibrgun Carbine version ( not the mini , the long model ). I 'm a bit disapointed by the results ; groups are not as good as with JSB pellets . I didn't change the factory settings of the guns , so I wonder if somebody of you did the same tests , and change the settings of the gun to improve accuracy with slugs: reg pressure and HST .

Here are the numbers : in .25 cal NSA slugs , 34,7gr........816 Fps

in .22 cal FX hybrid slugs 22gr......786 Fps

in .22 cal JSB 18gr........................860 Fps

So are these numbers correct to get a good accuracy with slugs ?

Mike

My .25 carbine doesn't really like anything over 33 grain...mine has been power tuned with the reg set at about 160 bar and the ports opened up to breath a little better!

I'm Shooting the .25 hybrids at 935fps with pretty good results...1/2 to 3/4 inch at 50 yards!

But the most accurate slug in mine is the 32.8 grain varmint knockers...followed close by the 33 grain deep hollow base varmint knockers! With my hammer spring maxed out I can get these moving about 920fps.

26.8 and 33.5 grain NSA shoot pretty good too... 34.7 grain? If those are the older slugs the new high speed machine slugs are much better and the price is much better too!!!

My .25 carbine likes Knock Outs at 850 fps. Try them and you will be amazed! A close second are the HN .249/34 grains The HN .249/32 grain also shoot really well along with the grizzlies if you have a good batch of them. The only NSA's I have tried are the 33.5 with relatively acceptable results. I have not tried HN's .250. The gun is tuned to shoot 34s at 880-890 fps

My .22 carbine likes HN .218/23 grain and .217/21 grain. It's tuned to shoot 18s at 895 fps.

Hybrids don't shoot well in either gun.

FX Hybrid slugs 22gr. Seens the Cricket loves them😊.

My Gen 1 Cricket, .25 cal really likes the 34 gr Varmint Knockers that are suggested for the Impact and the reg. Superior or Slug liner A. Not the XL which are for the Superior Heavy at 1000+ fps speeds.

I get 855-862 fps with JSB Heavy Pellets,

and 827 fps with the 34 gr. Varmint Knockers.

At 50 yards I get one hole groups, and its the same whether 5 shots or 12 shots....just a slightly bigger hole.

I'd post a picture but it would be a picture of a .....one hole group :)

I am going to order some 32.8 gr Varmint Knockers and see how they do as well.
