So i just installed the kraford and lypt probe carrier only to realize that its too tall to fit with my saber tactical cheek riser base insert. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution to fit both? Im sure i could cut down the botton of the cheek riser base but if theres another, less dramatic, option that would be better???

Did you mill or rough grind or what? There is quite a bit of excess stock on it so im not too concerned, plus i work in a weld shop so getting it cut wont be all that difficult

It's aluminum and I just used a hacksaw and then filed it smooth beveled edges. Put some black enamel paint on it then seal it. I can send you a picture after 7 p.m. Pacific time of the modified one and a stock one. I'll get you some measurements

It measures 3/4 of an inch. A person could go smaller. The fiber washer goes in the middle under the bolt. I learn the hard way he's scar up the gun without it if you tighten it so it doesn't move.

I took a dremel and hacked off the top half, instead as I wanted the bottom ovals to sit in place as they looked factory. It requires some extensive measuring and re tapping of two new holes for the adjustment, but the extra effort is well worth it.
ive done it twice now on each of my two impacts. That K&L probe clamp is a must have addition, but I’ve seen it tilt up the front of a pellet probe on a few guns due to the added weight. When I trimmed my ST piece I gave it just enough of a gap beneath the probe to assist in centering my pellet probe but also glide right above the ST piece. That tiny gap is coated with a thin layer of grease and that’s what makes it glide smoothly.
