Just wowed myself - 36 fpe out of a Taipan Veteran .22 Short

Just for the heck of it I decided to try the JSB 24.39 Monsters in my Veteran Shorty. This gun is completely stock as it comes new except for the addition of a DonnyFL Tatsu and a DonnyFL Speed Dialer. I turned the HST up all the way until the gun wouldn't cock and then backed it out 1/4 turn to have some safety margin. Fired a few unsorted from a .22 JSB sampler tin through my chrono and got 793.5, 796, 795, 793.5. That works out to 35.75 fpe compared with the advertised 32fpe.

I'm really impressed with that much power out of a gun under 24" and with all the amazing features this gun has. I mean, that trigger - drool!

Incredible guns they are and it's amazing how many different types of pellets they shoot so well!!!

Was doing some testing the other day with my long in .22 and just for the heck of it I tried some Crosman premier gold tips 17.4 grainers that I had. No other gun I've tried them in would group worth a crap but they shot to the exact point of aim as 18 grain JSBs and out past 60 yards. 920fps and laser accurate!

Head shot a squirrel yesterday at 62 yards and it was a complete pass through and lights out! Not even a twitch when he hit the ground... guys who pass this one over are missing out ! My favorite gun by far!
