Just Some Squirrel Hunting On Video.

Recently upgraded my FX Verminator with a longer barrel to give me some more fpe. Before I was getting between 20 to 22.5 fpe with the 12" barrel and now with the new 19" barrel its 27 to 28 fpe. This extra fpe should work real well for shooting hp pellets and getting good expansion. The other thing I won't have to worry about is running out of shots per fill. The 400cc tanks gets just over a 100 shots per fill on high power. Here are few squirrels I connected on hunting. The ShotTrak camera only films at 5x so no close ups. Saw about 12 squirrels this hunt but these were the only ones that slowed down enough to get a shot off on. Bill

Good video and a good hunt you had. Those pellets are hitting hard. I always like it when they do the "death dangle " before dropping outa the tree, like the last one you shot. So you definitely picked up velocity and energy with the longer barrel?

Nice video. Nice shot on the squirrel that ran up the tree and as soon as it sat, it was over. That was some good shooting and quick reflexes.

I shot one from 35 yds while it was running down a tree the other day. Even though I was tracking it's head I must've stopped when I pulled the trigger because the .30 went through just behind the ribs and made his internals external. I gotta work on the follow through. Your last shot was great.

Sure is Bob Nice tall trees with not to many lower branches. Its funny the last couple of years I hardly saw any squirrels in this section of woods. Now I see them everywhere. I did notice there is a nice mast of acorns this year if that is any reason for more.Bill

Yes it is that quiet. When it had the shorter barrel on the rifle and the Huggett moderator it was a little better than my FX Streamline with the Sumo moderator. Now with the longer barrel and the Huggett it is the most quiet of all my air rifles. Now the with the longer barrel and the Huggett the rifle is pretty long at about 43 inches. Since this video I bought a DonnyFL Tatsu moderator which is two inches shorter. Along with the change in diameter from the Huggett it makes the rifle look more in balance. The sound has increase with this smaller moderator but in the woods is not too noticeable. Bill
