Welcome aboard! I'm a "neighbor" in San Diego (Oceanside). I always wondered about the laws in Baja regarding airguns. Hope you find the journey here helpful with the airgun learning curve.

Thank you all for the warm welcome and greetings, regarding Air guns in Mexico in general, by Law, they are not treated as Fire Arms, they are not illegal, and I even imported from USA both of the Air rifles I own, as long as you use common sense ( don't be flaunting them on the streets ), there should be no problems with them, and I always carry the import papers with them to legally show I purchased them, and I NEVER carry them on my self ( Air pistols ), they are always on their case
I've been asked about them by Cops and the Military before during search points, but they have all been cool about it, more interested on how they work and shoot, no problems so far
