Orion you got my head spinnin on your intake filter i am thinking and designing i will have something next time i use my compressor i will post a picture of it when i get it designed and built

Awesome! The original one was built with PVC pipe 3inch. You need minimum 1ft of clear plastic so the air moves through the molecular sieve and dries.

I couldn't find the 3inch clear tube but another diameter, that's the reason I designed all the parts.

This is a nicely designed filter but it is using improper desiccant media. It would work much more effectively with an absorbent desiccant such as blue or orange silica gel beads rather than13X molecular sieve. Silica gel is an absorbent which works like a sponge even at atmospheric pressure. An intake filter doesn't compress the air passing through the desiccant. Dive compressors use 13X molecular sieve in a filter after the last stage and usually have a pressure maintaining valve set at 1800 psi or higher. All molecular sieve medias are adsorbents not absorbents. High pressure is what makes 13X media an effective moisture adsorbent. Water molecules stick to adsorbent media effectively under high pressure. Intake filters at14 psi (atmospheric pressure) will not remove moisture effectively using 3A, 4A, 5A, or 13X molecular sieve.

Tuxing's newer TXEDT032 is another example of an intake filter using molecular sieve in the wrong application. Molecular sieve media is always shipped in either vacuum packets or in sealed containers so that it isn't exposed to humidity which will ruin it in time. Wilkerson is a well known shop compressor filter manufacturer which need dry air for painting, etc. Wilkerson filters are low pressure intake filters and use silica gel desiccant.
