Just Ordered a Yongheng Hardcase Compressor From WalMart

If this is an scba tank and you haven't removed the dip tube on the valve base, you won't be able to expel the water if there is any.

I haven't removed mine, but then I'm not having any issues with water. My understanding however is that those who have removed them have sawn them off.

For the time being, I'm not using a water separator. Being an industrial pipefitter for over 18 years I feel that I can make my own if I can find a vessel that will work at 4500pis

I guess now I need to find someone to R&R the valve as I don't have a spanner wrench to fit the valve..

Mine arrived today but, wondering about ordering a fitting for the aluminum block air output port from the Yong Heng. Does anyone know the thread type for the port (likely metric) above the bleed screw on the block below? Don't really trust the included one and would prefer a male foster on that block. Other suggestions on the best setup appreciated as far as connectors. I do intend to get a Tuxing or similar gold prefilter but haven't ordered it yet.

The thread is M10-1 and the fitting sits on a white nylon bushing. You do as you like but have yet to hear of the supplied hose failing. I thought however of replacing the brass female quick connect with one made of stainless, but three years in on the original and still locks up fine. Not even the o-ring looks worn.

Thanks for the input. Based on your experience, I'll just order a male to male for hookup flexibility.

And some of us have been burned by the cheaper versions and decided to buy the more expensive ones. If you want to constantly have to rebuild or pray each time you turn it on it will work, then go for it. At this point, some of us would rather have the Rolls Royce and not a Yugo.

And some insist on buying a Cadillac Escalade for everyday transportation when a Toyota Corolla would suffice at a fraction of the cost, be more reliable, last longer and retain resale value better.
