Just ordered a Yong Heng from....

......Walmart. I kinda took biohazardman's advice and ordered one from Wally World with a 4 year warranty. I'm planning on shooting a PCP more than I have in the past. I've used a little Benjamin Traveler to air up my Marauder for the past couple of years. It's done a fine job for the amount of use it's received and is still working fine. But, I just purchased a second PCP and plan on shooting them more so decided to upgrade my air source situation. I'll use the Traveler as a back up now I guess. I appreciate all the information that is available here on the Yong Heng and all compressors for that matter. But with all things being weighed.....I felt that the Yong Heng would suite my needs very well. Should arrive Thursday this week. It will probably be a couple of weeks before I actually use it. I'll need to figure out exactly how and where to set it up and get my filtering figured out and all set up. But......looking forward to it.

@TiredRooster Have you been using a Gen 1 or Gen 2 Traveler?

Do you intend to use the Yongy strictly for filling PCPs or SCBA tanks as well?

I'm not really sure if my Traveler is a Gen 1 or 2. Whats the difference?

For a little while probably just the PCPs themselves. I may at some point delve into a tank of some sort.....time will tell.

@TiredRooster This is a link to a Benjamin Traveler Gen 1 https://www.pyramydair.com/product/benjamin-traveler-4500-psi-portable-compressor?a=8399

Here’s a Gen 2 https://www.crosman.com/product/benjamin-traveler-compressor

SCBA tanks are game changers. Get at least a 74L 74 cu ft tank.

Oh......ok!! Yeah I have seen the Gen 2 Traveler. I just wasn't thinking. Mine is a Gen 1 and has not given me any problems at all. Now mind you, it has only served to fill my Marauder. But it has done that well for a while now. I've used it to fill my Cayden a couple times now as well. But with my plans of shooting my PCPs more than in the past, especially since I just purchased another one. I thought it best not to rely on just that Traveler.

@TiredRooster Smart move. I was wondering how yours is holding up. I’ve had one for close to a year and don’t use it much. I’ve used it a a few times in the field going away from home for target practice and a couple times at home when I was too lazy to get my tank refilled that day. I think it makes too much noise for me to try to use somewhere I intend to hunt after becoming accustomed to filling from a SCBA tank. Seems like a pretty decent little unit for occasional use.

I'm guessing you didn't really mean a tank that large. ;)

A 74L tank would take a lifetime to fill!!! Let alone the number of fills you would get!

What type of fittings do you think one would need to tether a rifle?

That tank’s a retired airgunner’s wet dream. 😅. To tether a rifle to that behemoth? I don’t know. I’ve never tethered a rifle to a tank.

I've had the new Yong Heng for several days now but haven't had time to use it yet. But I've been watching tons of videos about it and getting ready. As a matter of fact, I couldn't have used it yet anyway because I've been waiting on the oil for it to get here. Which.......just so happened to get here today actually. I'm really looking forward to using it hopefully this coming week.

So YH from Walmart with 4 year warranty. So is doing and honoring this warranty? Seems kinda fishy to me. Did you pay extra for this warranty?

Not sure why you would need a four year warranty on a YH when they are so easy / cheap to rebuilt and fix yourself?

Just curious...

Well.....to be honest I was so very paranoid in regards to the quality of these compressors that I felt it would be just my luck that I would get one and experience some sort of catastrophic issue right outa the box. I'm not very trusting of Chinese quality control. Therefor a warranty would make me feel better just in case. I also figured that it would be better to send a broken unit back for a quick exchange at Walmart rather than have to order and wait a month or more for replacement parts from China. Thats why the warranty. However, after now having the Yong Heng, I wouldn't purchase a warranty again if I were to buy a second unit. They are indeed extremely simple little machines.
