#408 purchased from CC. At the end of the year they had 24 or so in stock and now they are all gone. Mine came in today and I unpacked, inspected, and shot 10 pellets. Not harsh at all! Yes, there is some recoil but it is not excessive. Based on comments over the past couple of years I was expecting far worse and got far better. Very smooth cocking and a very light and crisp trigger. Lockup is crisp and solid as a vault. The gun actually shoots good (pretty smooth in my estimation and I expect it to get better). Having said all that I will get it tuned...maybe buttoned too. Haven't chrony'd it yet. I requested that CC pick out a nicely figured stock (at the time of order about a week ago they had 12 in stock to pick from. Beautiful stock...not as nice as my FWB300 in European Walnut but attractive all the same.
