Just enjoying airguns!!

My airgun experience has been filled with all sorts of twist and turns. I have owned every type of airgun and damn near all the classic brands. It didn't take long for me to move past co2, pumpers, and springers for the wild world of pcp's. Long range precision hunting has been my passion for awhile.

After recently rebuilding and shooting some old classics, I have found a new fondness for the simpler side of airgunning. Maybe it is my kids or maybe just getting a bit older? Why, I am unsure, but I do know that my level of enjoyment has been very fullfilling.

Don't get me wrong, I am not moving away from my long range love, but renewing a simple joy. Killing cans and burning thru tins of pellets for no other reason than the pure joy and the love of shooting is as good as it gets.

After playing with the simpler airguns, it almost brings a whole new level of awe and respect to my pcp's and technologically advanced gear!! Sometimes simple is better.

I'm with you AJ-few things are more relaxing than taking a walk with my R9 and plinking at leaves, bits of bark or whatever. I have 3 PCPs and they're great, but I still hunt with my springer from time to time. I recently stuck a red dot on one of my Sheridans (purists are cringing) and have to say that's a fun combo!

PS would like to hit you up for some tuning advice sometime.

Be sure to have the cans full of "pop" and shake them up for a little shower action! LOL
I love to get up early and shoot out back for an hour or so. Sun coming up, a little chill in the air, very little wind, and no one around. Always starts the day out right! It truly is therapeutic for me. My friend calls it "Zen". I LOVE to shoot with other people also, but the mornings seem to be special just for me. I have only been shooting for a short time but these pcp''s have really captivated me!
Good post Aaron,
