It is interesting that it is assumed that you would know how to install and use the product. There was no additional paperwork other than the reciept.

glad you got yours. I'm still waiting for a tracking number or something! after you get it installed please let us know your impressions and more importantly, your results.

One of the other members told me about this as he ordered his already. He has not got a confirmation that it has been sent out yet and I ordered mine after he did!

I'm happy for you but wondering how their fulfilling these orders. I know their website now has a 4 to 7 day delay on shipping...

I actually ordered the 500 and the 700 but was not sure which one those it was. Funny it looks short until you put it on. Had to remember how to remove my hugget shroud. But it just twists on.

I assume these are according to the caliber you are using and there is only three. Wonder if the .22 and .177 uses the same ferrule? Better measure first! Lol.

They have little holes in them which is nice. At least i think it is. I assuming again, but it is so you can put a rod or allen in there to help you install and remove the ferrule? Yes? 😅

Allen

I assume ferrule screws up or down the shroud to change the weight in the area of the barrel to tune it ?

Different furrules for the different calibers. This furrel is for the moderator to screw on. As you take a look at the pictures the outside threads are all the same. Its the inside hole that is different. The weight is what moves forward and backwards.

Edit:

For information purposes most know but not everyone does. [I did not as a newby!] Quick tidbit. On the older style impacts such as the mk2 the shrouds are not interchangable from caliber to caliber. They will screw on but the inner portion of the threads that go into the moderator are sized for that caliber the shroud is on! However because this barrel tuner has a replaceable insert or ferrule of different sizes they fit a varity of calibers.

Dang it! Of course I put the tuner on before i even took a baseline. 🤣

Allen

This is the weight. It is threaded on like a micrometer knob. Im assuming you make a mark on the tube where you can see it on your AG and use that is your reference pointer to the hash marks on the weight.

I should probably put some anti-sieze on the threads as it may gall and lock onto the threads of the moderator or the tuner.

I also noticed they do not provide a thread protector should you decide not to use a moderator. I guess you can always pull out the insert so it wont get damaged.
