Jumping around pellet to pellet

Don't k now about others hunting but for any hunt I have settled with one pellet I will shoot. That said, I shoot a lot of different ammo, weight, shape, HP, or like Hates. Looking back in time before airgunning I did a lot of rimfire, I know this is airgunning so here is the correlation. When I was comparing RF rounds I would fire 5 rounds into the berm to season the barrel to the round. Funny thing is I have been shooting a 10 round group to season the barrel to the different pellet. AND I am finding no real difference between the 10 or 5 round group. How about you? Reason I ask and maybe the reviewers are shooting seasoning rounds between groups we are just not seeing. What ya think?

With rimfire it seemed to take a lot of ammo . For me often 25 or more. Pellets just a couple 

i suspect it was the bullet lube on the rimfire which is not on the pellets 

one of the things that drove me nuts with the rimfire was the first shot out of a cold barrel was often WAY off.

I think the heat caused by the burning powder causes expansion of the barrel perhaps that’s one of the reasons target barrels are heavier.. you don’t have that with air rifles

I switch between pellets and slugs, and different slugs and don't bother with seasoning the barrel for each.

I just pull a clean patch through about every 500 and all is well
