Jumped in head first

I use my rifles for falconry bird abatement and squirrel hunting , but lately I’ve been having a ball just plinking at the house with the family. Figured if I was going to plink, I’d start down the rabbit hole the right way. What all do you guys recommend to do it right? I’m going to start me a nice bench here really soon, ordered me a accutac bipod and have been looking at different bags/options for the rear. Any suggestions on what else to grab while I’m at it?

a caldwell rock or rock jr for the front and rear bag with ears ... a caldwell turret rest is a lesser known i think, but completely awesome rest also, but doesnt replace bag setup with the rock for ultimate steady shooting ... bipods are way overhyped and is the least accurate way to go, theyre good to hold a gun up on the table lol ..i wouldnt waste much money on them, but thats me ..

I’ve heard this a couple times now. I needed a bipod to hold the rifles anyway, but definitely looking into the options you mentioned up front .

That is a beautiful bullpup. The trigger on those is top-notch and the accuracy great. My Vets are least pellet/slug-fussy of my herd.

Depending on the power level you set it, you may not even require an LDC -- the shroud is just that effective in dampening the gun's report. The Veteran is also among the most robust of the rifles that I've owned.

What Accu Tac bipod did you choose? Regardless of the model, I doubt you will be disappointed. I rate my Accu-tac bipods as best. At the rifle range, when shooting targets out 100 yards and beyond, I find these bipods indispensable.

May I commend you on your choices.

If you're looking to jump in even deeper, you might want to look at this tripod:

Enjoy your new toy.

Thanks for the suggestions! I went with the Fc 4 as far as the bipod goes. And as far as the rifle goes, a forum member here (mtnGhost)built this rifle . As a lurker I’ve followed his builds and then after joining, I decided I really wanted one he’s had his hands on . I’m really looking forward to seeing what it’s capable of!

mtnGhost does some crazy top notch modding for sure. I am sure you will be pleased with the gun.

One other word. Unless you already have a compressor or are going to buy a top of the line diving compressor, Alkin, Bauer or Coltri get a Yong Heng. it will outperform and likely last longer than most of the others costing three to five times as much.

No doubt about it, I’ve always been impressed with his work. Impressed enough that I’ve actually got two of his pieces on the way. No compressor yet, been using my great white tank and filling at the fire station, but have been looking hard at the Alkin compressor .
