JTS Airacuda max

How do you like your airacuda, happy you own it or disappointed?
I think people will be extremely happy with both models,
couple things I don't like but it's purely subjective, I don't like the safety bar inside the trigger guard and I'm not a big fan of the Biatlon style sidelever otherwise I think both guns are excellent.

I got my Airacuda MAX in .22 this past Monday and I have experienced both highs and lows with the gun. I was able to get precise shots and a high shot count from 3200-1800 psi.

I also had the receiver flex on me due to poor engineering along the tube joint where the plenum joins hammer body. This is easily resolved by mounting a scope rigidly and paying close attention to the tension on the stock mounting screw. This will have to be changed in future models by using a single tube instead of a poorly joined set of tubes.

The computer said its fine.. no need for human R&D trials

Then what about the pre release tester guys ? None of then had the issue or noticed ?

Or maybe one of them loose lips sink ships , hush hush..
I had noticed a POI shift straight away, mentioned it to JTS ... Removed barrel band letting barrel float it appears fine.
Was told that the powers in charge WANTED a barrel band feeling it is a selling & safety point ... well. the reality of such decisions is now coming to light perhaps.

I imagine that the stress lines and pressures all showed to be within spec, if I felt there was any danger at all, it would have been boxed up and on the truck back to AD.

This issue will not show up on computer modeling due to the wood stock not being a constant. My stock may have been milled when a bit wet or dry. There is evidence that the side lips have moved since the gun was assembled. It may have arched or cupped.

I will mic them tonight for prosperity sake and will add a single washer to the bottom of the gun to raise it up off the bed and will epoxy bed the receiver with a magazine in the slot and a 4 thou shim between the mag and the receiver to hold the gap, after my warranty has expired.

I'm a fan-boy but I'm going to tell it a and not hold back.

Would using a one piece scope mount like the Arkin precision scope mount remedy this issue? Will the magazine clear the mount?
I have been planning on picking up one in 22cal, but waiting until there's some customer reviews.

You would not be able to use the magazines and single Loading would be near impossible.
