I regularly shoot and compete in the 30 & 40Y paper target challenge thread. I have almost totally switched to AEA and JTS pellets with most of .22 cal rifles, because they are more accurate and score better. (I.e. Taipan Vet 2, FX Royale 400 ST, Daystate Revere, HW 100 Carbine, RAW HM1000X).
All of the above are scoring higher with AEA vs. JSB. The pellet quality ( especially the skirts ) is far better. Less bent skirts and less random fliers. Several of the regular participants have experienced similar results with AEA pellets.
If you get a chance, check out the recent WRABF World Finals competition held in Finland in August. Sadeq just posted a link to all the scoring results. Click on the RImfire finals tab.
I would not want to be shooting AEA 18.1g pellets at 50 yards or meters against these guys.
