JSB variants (Air Arms, Edgun, FX)

Yes and definitely yes and even the Crosman CPHP and their Benjamin variant which look identical don't shoot the same depends on your gun. They all may look the same but they don't shoot the same. The JSB labeled ones have way too much variation between tins especially in 22 such as the 18grain specifically and really think their dies aren't changed frequently enough. YO!

Thanks Yo! Makes sense.

Anyone with an FX airgun try the new FX pellets? Are they more accurate than JSBs?

FX airguns seem designed around the JSBs, but I'm wondering if they'll switch to their own brand now....

They would be very smart to manufacture their own in house pellets but I really think they're gonna be really expensive but there will be a whole lot of buyers for sure world wide. Just hope and pray they change their dies frequently enough so you don't keep getting bad batches we shall see... It would be such a shame their guns are plenty accurate for 100 yard shooting with good consistent pellets... I have some really old 22 JSBs that are easy 100 yard shooters way better than today's JSBs... I'm talking Edgun R3M half inch groups at 100 yards with no wind no B.S. YO!

Pizzaman - be careful of feedback you get. Don't just accept it for fact when someone in this thread merely posts their opinion and offers absolutely nothing in the way facts to support it. YO!

I second the above... Facts and empirical data please. The JSB 18s have been great in all my PCPs. I just shoot them straight from the tin. I’ve also used the AAs 16s with similar results. I prefer the 18s for that little added weight over the 16s. I have shot many dime sized 5 shot groups at 50 yards with both brands. Just ordered some of 25 gr JSB Redesign to see how they shoot out of my Bantam.

I bought and shot JSB, EDGUN and HATSAN .30 cal 44gr pellets with no difference in quality or poi. I have bought them like that because they were out of what i usually use (JSB). I have actually loaded them in a magazine alternating them in the same mag and they grouped the same pellet on pellet. Thats been my experience.

Ditto. No difference between the three in .30 caliber. Haven’t tried other calibers recently. A few years ago in .25 the JSB Kings significantly outperformed the AA pellets In an EDgun R5M standard that I had.

They only time I saw a difference was in my power tuned .25 Cricket. Charlie had set it up with 25 gr AA pellets. I didn't have them so I used the JSB 25 gr and it was doing ok. I scored several tins of AA from a friend and the gun shot better with them. It wasn't night and day difference and out to 50 yards it was hardly noticeable but past that it definitely showed a preference for AA pellets. As far as .22 goes I've always had good luck with all the JSB weights in most of my guns. Except for my Huben which likes the 25 gr JSB only but will not shoot 15 or 18 grain worth a crap. It shoots CPUM and H&N Barracuda ok too.
