JSB UltraShock .22 ➔ ●Max. Velocity? ●HP Expansion? ●BC?

JSB UltraShock .22cal
●Max. Velocity?
●HP Expansion?
●BC?

Yupp, that's what I'm interested in.

🔸(1) What is the max. velocity where you still got acceptable precision/accuracy?
(Specs: ▪What range | ▪velocity | ▪group size | ▪shots per group?)

🔸(2) What kind of expansion did you get of the hollow point?
(Specs: ▪Impact velocity [or muzzle velocity and range] | ▪ballistic material [what kind of ballistic gel, or what animal] | ▪how much did it expand [photo?])

● Did you do anything to increase expansion, like widening the HP cup, making cuts into the head...?

🔸(3) Did you do any BC measurements?
(Specs: ▪What range | ▪What BC calculator did you use | ▪Did you enter atmospheric data?)

Thanks a lot for any light you can shed on this pellet that seems to live in the shadow of the JSB Monster Redesigned! 😊

Ballistic numbers can be found on Hard Air Magazine .0013 higher than poly-mag .0012.

Jon,

my AG mind has a single track. And that track is 0.22" wide....

🤦🏻‍♂️ I should have thought of other calibers that these pellets come in....

🔹 In .177 the difference in weight between Polymag and UltraShock is small:
8gr vs. 10gr.
And the UltraShock is a medium heavy pellet for the caliber.

🔹 In .22
the difference in weight is huge:
16gr Poly vs. 25gr UltraShock.
The UltraShock is super heavy for the caliber.

Because of the weight difference in .22 there should be a fairly large difference in BC. Not so much for .177.... 😊

🔺 ➔ Still looking for some .22cal info on
▪ max. velocity where you still get good precision @50y
▪ how much hollow point expansion did you get in game or ballistic gel
▪ your own BC measurements

Thanks! 👍🏼
