JSB Straton .22

I want to feed these in my Taipan Mutant this weekend. Currently, the mutant is spitting out the JSB 18.1's at around 960fps which is a little hot, but they group really well. My thinking is the higher sectional density of these and heavier weight ought to translate to better down range energy AND velocity. Anyone else try them in a mutant??

I can feel more recoil in my mutant in my short garage range... Same hole so far. Hope to stretch it out to 50 and maybe 100 yds over the weekend.

These are pretty good, I also shoot them in my Walther MaximaThor. You might also want to try the JSB Ultra Shocks - same weight. For perfect expansion, make the hollow cavity a little larger with a 1/10" drill, you will lose only a grain or two. If you have a digital scale, you can verify the weight to keep it consistent. Perfect for medium range shots.
