JSB slugs?

I am doing the testing for JSB for their slugs , I have some coming across very very soon . The have had a really hard time getting it right as it were . I talked to Pavel last week and he says that he thinks they have a breakthrough ... Thank goodness ! I have tested the H&N's on behalf of Daystate and so far so good in .22 . I will be testing some more as and when .

Great stuff!! My search-fu hasn't turned up any information so I am glad to hear that JSB is working on it!

Locally, (Canada) lower prices haven't filtered down yet and slugs are still over $0.25 EACH - hoping that H&N and JSB slugs (and reasonable prices) arrive in time for the start if the warm weather shooting season.

A slug "looks" deceptively simple and makes it difficult to believe how much development goes into making one that shoots well.

@Laity Rog, please keep us posted (if permitted) with any details on your testing.

I will certainly keep you up to date buddy . They should be here in a little while. We shall see I guess , I was going to go out and shoot some H&N’s yesterday but the weather was shocking , I wanted to put them up against my favourite slugs , the Pro Hunter slugs that work really really well in my gun . Those things are just nuts , amazing groups at distance , they really work with my ART barrel . Bang on !!

What kind of BCs were you seeing and at what velocities roughly?

They are on the way to me at the moment , Have not received them as yet . The have had a nightmare getting it right . They "Think" they have now . I am lucky that my Red Wolf shoots Pro Hunter slugs amazingly well , it seems to shoot H&N's really well too . I hope they work with the new JSB's . My gun is running 54 ft/lb but its going to go back to Daystate for some upgrades and then we shall see . Fingers crossed the JSB's turn up after my gun has been done . At the current power I know its bang on , it shoots these slugs so so well with amazing accuracy , I hope that does not change .

Pro hunters must suit daystates guns , 5 of us tried them in FX impacts and all of us can’t get them to work past 50 yards . Even if we got them to work , at £30 per hundred , we would still choose H&N at £11.50 delivered per 200.

Not only on price but the accuracy of H&N are fantastic .

Be interesting when JSB slugs come out , see how the work
