JSB Simply Pellets

Just thought I'd post some targets using these pellets. For those that haven't seen them they are a budget wad cutter pellet, they are about 2/3 the price of the same weight match pellet. I bought them to practice with and have been pleasantly surprised, IMHO a good pellet for the money.

There are a lot of .177 wad cutter pellets that do well at 10 meters/~11 yards/~33 feet. Even cheaper ones than these. Not many do so well when you extend it out to 25 or more yards. However, the pics you posted look really good!

Personally, if I can't put pellets hole in hole at 10 meters (from an improvised rest) then I don't even try to carry them out to 25 yards and beyond.

Actually, I don't even shoot WC pellets at all anymore because they simply don't do as well as domed pellets do out to 25 through to 60 yards.

Of course WCs do make nice holes in paper at close range. Too bad JSB doesn't offer domed "Simply Pellets" in 10+ grains at a similar price point. (grin)

Thanks for the post and pics and very nice shooting!!!

Punching holes in paper is all I do with my 300's, so I wanted to try something cheaper to practice with. At my gun club we shoot 10M indoors in the winter (before covid), we shoot aperture sights benchrest and offhand.

Since I have very few pest targets lately, I have found myself shooting @ 10 meters inside my house more lately just to stay in practice and to also try and get what I have shooting as accurately/precisely as I possibly can. I've shot enough at 10 meters and 27 meters (zero) to know if my zero has changed by shooting at 10 meters.

I only shoot from an improvised rest and, with the exception of the P17 and 1377, I always use a scope and I like 20x or better.

Funny that I can hit target clays at 25 yards with my PB hand guns (9mm) consistently, but with the air pistols, I am not nearly as accurate.
