JSB Monster Redesigned

Personally, I think the older style worked better, but both the .177 Monster RD's and original versions do well in my Dreamline at ~820 fps, with the originals edging out the RDs in accuracy. In my Marauder, neither does well until they are moving ~920 fps and then the older style is significantly better. I haven't been able to get my Dreamline to shoot beasts at all (mostly because I haven't played around enough). But my Marauder will happily put them hole in hole at 40 yards when they are shooting ~875 fps. That's the Mrod's diet when it's on chipmunk duty and they really smack those guys down hard.

Each gun is different, but I was a little disappointed that my Dreamline is having trouble getting the Beasts to go faster than ~750 fps when the Marauder easily gets them to the velocity needed for them to be accurate. At least the original Monsters are excellent in both guns, albeit at very different velocities. The RDs are acceptable, but I've never been a fan.

I just posted a question recently regarding the original 13.4's. I tried going lower 800's per multiple recommendations ( not all - some others were saying they had them flying faster ). Cutting to the chase - I've found them to be pretty good at 863'ish ( 10 shot avg over chrony ) out of my Taipan .177 standard. I'm hoping to get out to one of my farm pesting permissions today to put them to the test.

Just shot my first FT with using the .177 RD in the TAIPAN yesterday. While there accuracy is no different in windless conditions to the original trash cans , the RD's moved around a LOT LESS in the wind shot at the same @ 815 fps speed.

Had always found the original .177 monsters LOVED 900+ speeds they obviously present too much area for the wind to move them shot slower. The RD's with there small head and long tail waist present less area for the wind to move them around at equal speed. HAVE NOT shot any RD's at higher speeds yet so jury is out ???
