JSB MK are they all now actually MK2s?

Northeast Airguns had the JSB 25 cal 33.95 gr MK in stock so I ordered some for my Uragan.

They also have the FX 22/24g and 25/33g in stock!

I have since read on this forum that they are all MKII's now even the ones not marked as MKII?

Is this correct?

Yep. Centercut first made me aware of the trend. I then talked to Joe and then JSB directly. They are now the same although there is very little information out there about it. Sucks because many airguns shoot the originals better! Anybody been hoarding ten tins that they want to get rid of?

I have a few tins (almost 6) of the MK I’s that I bought 3-4 years ago. Also have 7+ tins of Edgun 33.95’s which look/measure almost identical to the MK I’s. I bought these over 3 years ago from Edgun West when I bought my Matador Huma Magnum. Also have about 6 tins of the MK II’s bought at the same time as the MK I’s.


Found this thread from a few months ago https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/jsb-25-king-heavy-34-grain/?referrer=1 so I measured a sample of 10 each of my stash. Dimensions are in MM.


MK I OAL: 9.05, skirt dia: 6.66, depth of rear cavity: 2.30

Edgun OAL: 8.95, skirt dia: 6.68, depth of rear cavity: 2.35

MK II OAL: 8.76, skirt dia: 6.57, depth of rear cavity: 1.56
