Over the course of the last two years, I have literally bench tested hundreds of pellets in my .177, .22, & .25 pcp and spring rifles. The Air Arms S-510 pcp rifles will all shoot nearly one hole groups with several different standard pellets, though each rifle definitely has a favorite or two. I have yet to get to that level of accuracy with my .177 TX200, and have come to believe that I likely never will.
In the search for a magic pellet that would help me tighten up the TX200 groups to near "pcp like" on a consistent basis, I purchased two boxes of the JSB Match Diablo Exact Premium Airgun pellets, guaranteed to be +/- 0.001g in weight.
Perhaps for Olympic matches using pcps or for some special purpose the cost of JSB Match Diabolo ammunition is worth it. However, in my own 18 yard indoor range, under perfect conditions, shooting the TX200 MKIII from perfectly positioned for-end and butt bags., with a 12 FPE tuning kit installed, actually shooting at 9.34 FPE (+/- 706 fps), I can't see any difference in the performance of these pellets vs the standard JSB Exacts or other "good" quality pellets I have tested.
This is not to knock the product as I am certain it has its place. This is only to report that I cannot see any difference in the group size from what I am experiencing with much less expensive, but good quality, pellets.
