JSB king heavy. Regular or MKll?

I have a Wildcat MK1 .25 cal. Curious if the original king heavies are better than the MK11 version since the gun came out and were designed around the original heavies.

i realize all guns are different. Just would like to see the general consensus.

If I remember correctly Ted thought the MKII worked better in the ST barrel.

I can personally attest that the MKII is the better pellet in both my Crown, and my Impact STX 700mm barrel

The MK11 is to avoid the length issues that some magazines have with the MK1, nothing to do with accuraccy if I read it correctly!

the best is to try both but I give you advice, try to weigh a certain amount of pellets of each type and then shoot groups at 60 meters preferably with calm breeze..... remember, Every barrel tells a different story, whether it's the same rifle model!!!

the mk1 pellets were great pellets , however their length were not always suitable for all magazines, the MK11 redesign did make them more magazine friendly overall. the mk1 wildcat was one of the few guns that handled the JSB mk1 pellets well. it's dealer's choice since you have that gun. i favor MK11 pellets only because they are more overall magazine friendly to many guns.

The skirt diameter is different as well.

JSB king heavy - head-6.35, skirt-6.65, length -8.89

JSB king heavy mk2 - head-6.35, skirt-6.50, length-8.89

I also would advise to experiment with both. But in my experience, MK2 has shot better. The original heavy is more fussy with velocity in a ST barrel.

My Mk1 .25 Wildcat would not feed the Mk1's properly the Mk11's feed and shoot great!

Fx loves Redesigned and MkII (new JSB pellets) at least my Impact X does. (wonder when they will launch the 0.30 redesigned or mk2)

But like many says, try try try...is the best way to get your gun preferences.
