This .30 caliber JSB Hades was shot into 20% ballistics gel at a modest 915 fps for hunting range penetration speeds. The penetration was 7" and it expanded to .370". Seems like the near perfect projectile for medium sized game animals and varmint.

That's been my experience so far. Their terminal effect is doing the job. I'm shooting at around 872fps & MIGHT be getting a better mushroom on the pellets, believe it or not.

That is good to hear. I was noticing that the people shooting them into water were getting better expansion. That would probably explain why you, shooting into animal flesh, are getting better expansion than what is happening in the ballistics gel.

I’ve been using the 0.30 Hades out of a Wildcat compact at around 840fps on raccoons and have noticed a big improvement in stopping power over Polymag Predators and the previous JSB models. I’m a big fan, very impressed.
