Joined the AGN Forum Today

Been meaning to find out if there were any online forums dedicated to airguns and ran into this one (seems to be just what I was looking for). Have held a modest interest in such arms since buying my first one (Sheridan Blue Streak c.a. 1967) at a Cal Store in Long Beach, Ca. Stands to reason have always had fond memories of that first pellet rifle. Since relocating to central Arizona in 2010, have been picking up a number of air rifles... primarily at either yard sales or at the local swapmeet, when the opportunity arose and prices were right. Have half a dozen Sheridan Model Cs (with two having been broken down for parts salvage due to condition, etc.). The best of these is one of the 1950s Blue Streaks with straight bolt and slotted safety. Rifle was not working when received but maybe it was a fortunate thing, as condition is close to excellent. Must have been put away in a closet for decades for that reason... and hope to get it back up to speed with help from the membership!

Also have a Benjamin-Sheridan C9A, two Soviet IJ-22s (wood/plastic stocks), Diana Model 27 (sn. 89) and Model 34, Romanian Pioneer (plastic stock), Walther Modell 55, Feinwerkbau L.G. Modell 300, Walther Force 1000, Winchester Model 1000, Anschutz Egyptian Hakim trainer and Czech Vz35 (Vz24) trainer. In any event, just wanted to post a intro and hoping to become more involved in the near future...

Hello and welcome. I'm not familiar with any of your guns but it sounds like you have quite the collection. I'm relatively new to the forum as well and the information I have received and encouragement to proceed with my projects is unmatched. Very kind and eager to help members reside here. I hope you find answers to all of your questions and hit all of the targets you're aiming for. Have a great day and welcome aboard.

Mike

Welcome, theres lots of good information here. Im constantly learning different things

Good morning @pwcosol and welcome to the forum.

I started with a Sears 'Ted Williams' rebranded Daisy 880 pump gun from the 70's. Now I have a few too many, just like most.

You'll find what you need here, and much more. Make good use of the search feature, then post remaining questions with meaningful subject lines and you shall receive.

Prepare to be amazed at how airguns have evolved.

Regards,
Feinwerk

Thanks to all for your warm welcome! I plan to be perusing the site to see what it is all about... and particularly the "Traditional Airguns" sub-forum. Will definitely be soliciting assistance on valve repair for the 1950s Sheridan Blue Streak I have. Will try to get something posted on that one, as just ordered the valve seal kit for it today... Oh, will work towards some AG photos and post them here tomorrow as well...
