I am in need of some opinions. I have a 54 air king in .22cal. A while back, maybe 2yr ago, I had it tuned by JIPA. By the way, a excellent gentleman to deal with. Good, fast, knowledgeable and affordable. Anyway, he did an excellent job with it. He also installed the PG2 kit in it. It was getting 748fps with 18gr jsb's. Thats pretty nice. Well about 2000-2500 rds later (meaning now), she is only getting anywhere from 640-660fps. Now I went the pg2 kit route without knowing or looking into their longevity which I am now experiencing. 

Here is my questions:

I am taking the advice of a friend and very knowledgeable gentleman on this forum to go 5he JM parts route so here I am. 


1. What spring should I get from ARH that will keep me very near ithe 20ft/lb. I don't mind if its over because I am assuming that the velocity will drop some. But since it is a "recoiless" AG, I still want accuracy but not violence. 

2. Which breach seals should I get/use?

3. Lastly, which piston seal to get.

I know that I will need or should use fitted guide and top hat as well, but lets assume that I don't or can't do it do to limited finances.

So i'm all ears gents. Much appreciated. Oh yeah, I am "not" doing the install but a known and respected person on here is...hopefully, lol.

If the cocking arm has some spring to it before closing ? ... breech seals likely just fine. AS FOR THE piston SEAL, Doubtful anything needing replacement there either.



Spring kit with a fitted guide from ARH and your likely back up and running w/o further fussing.





* Tho said .... Do a tissue test by laying a tissue over the breech area and shooting a pellet .. If tissue blows off the breech the breech seal MAY BE the only problem ?

I would check if there's an adjustable gas ram kit up and coming for your gun from Vortek. That's just me tho... Yo!
