"Rider1"I bought a JKhan Krosa in .25 cal from Randy at RL Airguns about 2 months ago and equipped it with an Aeon 6-24X50 scope .
I have previously owned Kalibrgun Cricket BP's in .22 and .25 cal.
I have shot almost 1,000 JSB Exact King 25.39g pellets thru the Krosa .25 to date.
I shortened the hammer spring to reduce fps from 950 to 870 .
The Krosa shoots just as accurately as the Cricket.
I fill the Krosa to 2800psi (about 190 bar) and for the first 30 shots there is only a 20fps variation. Shots 31 - 45 it widens to 40fps variation.
It uses about 25psi per shot.
One "trick" to the magazine loading: you need to push each pellet into the magazine about a mm beyond where it initially sets. No biggie....I use a ball point pen.
Accuracy: 1/2" groups at 50 yds. consistently and if I "do my part" 1 and 1/2" groups at 100 yds. Which is basically the same results with the Crickets that I used to own.
I find the quality of the Krosa to be excellent.....from my untrained eye atleast.
The action is very smooth with no problems so far anyways.
It looks better IMO than the Cricket.....I owned both wood and synthetic stock Crickets.
The Cricket of course gets more shots per fill albeit at a much higher fill pressure. I used 250bar.
The variation in fps with the Krosa has had no ill effect on target takedown results as far as I can tell anyways. My longest kill was a prairie dog at 141yds just after purchasing the gun from Randy behind his Colorado shop !!! And the wind was blowing across the field from 15 - 25 mph !!
I've had quite a few kills between 100 and 121 yds. This .25 as any .25 hits hard !
It's a GREAT value and rumor has it Randy at RL Airguns is about ready to offer a regulator "upgrade" for the Krosa.
I'm happy just the way it is.
