I picked up another product from Joe at JD’s Custom Design. I got a windicator for another rifle in the summer, so when I got my new rifle, I knew I wanted to come back for my focus wheel.
I ordered the MAX wheel for the 9.5 effective diameter to maximize the help at long range, shooting Hunter FT. Not only do you get the wheel, but you also get a bubble level and a pointer for just $100. I actually forgot about the level and realized I was out of 30mm bubbles, so I ordered one on Amazon. The next day, I remembered… I bet Joe had bubbles… sure enough, it was in the package on the way and I had just forgotten!!
Another cool feature is the magnetic attachment. It is solid with 3 magnets, so it isn’t coming off until you pull. What is even better about being able to take your wheel off during transport (if you wish) is that he set it up so that it only goes back on in one spot. NICE!! I was wondering how I was going to remember exactly where it was attached, but he solved that. It only goes on in one spot due to the way he notched the hub.
