JB double guage fill setup , bleed screw/knob leaking

If I understand , you tighten the bleed screw down tight and air seeps out the bleeder? Are you are sure no air is leaking past any threaded fittings? I have had 2 fill stations that the bleeders seeped air. I unscrewed the bleeder screw and lightly filed the end of the screw and the Teflon so it was smooth. Then use some emery paper to make a nice polished end on the Teflon. This got rid of the gouge/ring in the Teflon and let the screw tighten down and hold pressure. If I am in left field, please give more description as I may have misinterpreted your issue. Darrell

thanks for the reply , yep the bleeder screw, the teflon is pretty flat, with the indent /small circle.. no air coming from anywhere else , i took the bleeder screws out of 2 other fill systems, but smaller diameter, then, i found my Jb guppy that i got about 6 yrs ago, it was the correct threads , but still leaks, what reall sucks is, the one that leaks has 4500 psi of air, the others are down to 2000 psi . roger

Mine always leaked like that tried a bunch of stuff even made a new seal for it still did it,even put a oring in the bottom quit leaking, but had to use pliers to get it to bleed the air finally made a sidewheel for it to get more leverage to close it tight, thats how i use it now ! even called joeb he is no help super bad customer service ,bad design on the bleeder , thought mine was the only one dont sound like it though

Do you have a pix of your fill station? Is the bleed part of the block or is it threaded on? I have a couple that I made myself. Took a T fitting, added a 2” gauge in the middle, a Foster fitting and hose on one end and a lever/ball valve on the other. simple flick of the lever bleeds the station. So much easier the turning a knob. The valves are related at 7250 psi.

i am sorry , i should have stated that the fill valve is on a 4500 scba tank , there is no foster adapter, just female threads, , i purchased the valve from a member here about 4 yrs ago & it worked fine , i have not really been shooting for couple of yrs, just getting back into it a little bit, my tanks have just been sitting around, actually , i just remembered . (feeble mind), i noticed the bleeder leaking last spring & forgot about it,thanks for all the replys, & for anyone that suggests it, No i will not call Joe B , will never deal with him again. have a great weekend
