Javelin 23gr .217 vs .218 in my mk2 crown

1st i want to talk about the FX hybrids which are 22gr & .217, and are the most accurate in my long range pester.

so i bought the javelin's to try out from seeing all them good hunting video's from SA......

got a pack of the .217 and one of the .218's.

the .217's were all over the place but the .218's were very close if not equal to the hybrid's <1moa @ 100yrds.

maybe my mk2 compact will like the .217's or my other .22's, who knows.......i found out the other day
my 65yo beni 312 .22 with 5 pumps loved the jsb hades better than anything i have ever tried !!

btw, both my crown mk2's have the superior liners.

I have been told not all barrels are the same. I had my Impact shooting 23 gr .217 NSA’s pretty good, just not as good as I had hoped for. Local shop told me FX barrels preferred .218’s so I bought some Zan and NSA 23 gr in .218.
Shot two mags of both to let the barrel settle in and the gun refused to group either slug well at all.
Dug into my cabinet of forgotten stuff and found a tin of H&N 25 gr .217’s. Gun grouped them very well at 50 & 80 yards. Then shot some NSA 27.5’s in .217 I had left over and it grouped them well. Not as well as the H&N’s But pretty close.
