That's a great air gun for sure, beautiful! I'm totally envious! I've been considering either this gun, the Tactic, or the maybe the Matador R5M. I'm a leftie and really like the charging handle placement on the Vulcans and the R5M. I'd love to hear all of the comparisons you can come up with between the two Vulcans since you have this and the Tactic too. Have a good one!

After I've spent a few days working with this bullpup I should be able to do a comprehensive comparison of the 2 guns.

Keep in mind though, I tend to have a bias toward my most recent acquisitions.

In any event you won't be disappointed with either the Vulcan bullpup or the semi-bullpup. The bullpup, of course is shorter and a lighter than the semi-bullpup.

I wonder how the Vulcan 2 in .30cal compares to the Edgun R5, .30cal. I noticed last week that Edgun West has the R5 in .30cal Long and Super Long models in stock. Does the laminate stock come standard for the Vulcan 2 or is it an additional cost upgrade?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In October I talked by phone with Brian at EDgun West, inquiring about the availability of the Matador R5M .25 Laminate. Both Brian and the owner of EDgun (Ed?) told me that the guns would be in sometime in November. Brian took my email address and promised to notify me when the shipment arrived.
After not receiving any notification by the first week in December, I decided to purchase another Vulcan2. I definitely wanted the laminated stock on my next bullpup. I don't regret the choice. Additionally, based on my conversation with Brian back in October, I got the distinct impression that Ed was not interested in producing any more guns with the laminated stock. Although that is not a deal-breaker for me, other reviews of the EDgun Matador relegates it to the back burner for now. E.g. cocking cycle -- not as smooth as the FX Wildcat or the Vulcan (I read this in a comment on this site).
As to the cost of the Vulcan2s, Utah Air Guns lists the synthetic stock version at $1599 and the Wood and laminates for $1699. Talon Tunes has the laminated version listed at $1649.
That's gorgeous, love the look of these Vulcans.
I'm a big fan of the Vulcans. However, at first I was drawn to the semi-bullpup, Tactic style rather than the bullpup. With the Vulcan2, AGT increased the length of the butt pad and added the laminated version. Those changes sold me on the bullpup. The bullpup is slightly shorter and lighter than the semi-bullpup. I really like handling this gun.
Update:
I just checked the EDgun West website. And indeed the Matador R5Ms are in stock; listed at $1875.
On a separate listing the laminated stocks are for sale at $195.
I think I'll pass.
This reminds me of the time I purchased 2 digital manometers from Brian -- $95 each, I believe. What gets my goat is the nearly 20 bucks he charged me for the shipping. This for an item that USPS charges what, $1.50...$2.00 to deliver.
I can see I made the right choice going with the Vulcan.
