It’s all tied up 3 to 3, 77 Sheridan verse Wolfpack - kills from 12-190 yards

The 77 Sheridan came up huge today. I took a short 30 minute walk later in the day, and whacked three chippies. It’s almost impossible to retrieve them where they’re sitting. So the 30 yard offhand shot which resulted in the picture below was my highlight of the day.

The kill below is my first at 95 yards. I set my 17 red wolf up for this distance. I’ve never heard a slug hit an animal before. Very unique sound. I used a 12.5 grain NSA. Wow, he was done before he hit the ground. The red wolf is an absolute laser at that distance.

I now have the 22 red wolf set up for 190. It is simply more consistent at that distance than the 17.

it scored on two Chippis at 190 today. Here is the second one. It took two shots. On the first shot, he seem to jump because he heard my rifle, my shot went right under him. He came back two minutes later. I held an inch higher. He jumped again. It went right through him. He was facing me, sitting. Devastating.

I have never had this many chipmunks. Usually there’s a raptor family living nearby. Between that and the coyotes foxes and the cats, the numbers are usually kept pretty reasonable.I would guess this is a 15 year population high.
