Yeah I don't think I've seen anyone here refer to it as a clip until now, I think your sanity is safe here. Just beware the rabbit holes I hear they are deep.

After another twenty minutes I had the gun back together and held my breath as I put air to it. Ah, a relief no sign of a leak anywhere. Filled it to my 2k and then remembered I had the large #10 grade 8 screws holding my valve so took it up to 2,600psi still no leaks. Inserted a clip and fired off a couple of rounds. The gun seems to be shooting a bit hot even though I set the reg to 110bar.
Ahhh, so you saw 1 POST and figured the entire airgun community calls it a clip! Makes total sense now.
