I went out shooting with my new rifle (impact .30) and scope (Athlon Btr moa) using jsb 50.15g pellets at 66 and 100yds and I made note of my holdover marks. I put a bottle out to 66yards and made-note that it was 3 hashes down. At 100yds I was 10 hashes down. I know for sure the hashes are correct because I keep shooting one hash up until I hit the bottle and the hits were consistent! I am zeroed in at 25yds shooting 876 fps with 50jsb.
When I put in all my information into the app the marking are not what I was getting in the field.
What am I doing wrong? Does anyone know how to correctly put in the information? Scope height is 2.85" center to center

Scratching my head now. The only other thing I can think of is the ballistic coefficient of the pellet is different from what the Strelock database is assuming. The pellet could be getting downrange faster or slower than what is programmed in Strelock and that might account for the difference. Maybe you can setup your chronograph downrange at your target and get some velocity readings then calculate the BC and see if it matches the Strelock numbers. If not, put your new calculated BC numbers in and see if that changes the accuracy of the app.

I played around with the pellet velocity until I got the same holdover value as when I did just shooting. The only thing is that it says I'm shooting 600fps. And I paid $4.95 for the app😢

Also see http://www.airgunnation.com/topic/ballistic-coefficient/ same applies to Strelok:
"RDC"If you are using the Chairgun software, you can calculate your BC by either change of velocity or change in point of impact (POI). I use change in POI by first zeroing at my desired distance. Then moving the target out 20-30 yards and shooting at the same point of aim. This will give you a group X inches below your aiming point. Measure from center of your aiming point to center of your group with a micrometer. Plug this number into Chairgun along with your pellet weight and velocity and it will calculate a BC. How is your .30 Boss shooting?

Go sight your gun in and shoot a target and see where the dots, lines, or whatever you have above and below the cross hair hit. Nothing like actually shooting your gun at a target and seeing where it hits. All those aps are ok but you will never learn what is really happening without shooting at a target at a known distance. Velocity, bc, mils, milrads, inches, inclination don't matter untill you shoot at a target. Plus, you will learn alot about your gun, scope, and pellet. Trigger time is where it's at. Believe me. My friend, Chuck, in Texas knows all about it. Have fun, Scott
