So true, dated one for two weeks…and survived.Unlike human foxes, canine foxes are harmless. BTW, the red(head) human foxes are the MOST dangerous!

Many decades ago was on a bicycle ride, stopped at a house to ask for some water, they nice people said no worries, as we were drinking, in walks a red fox...with a flea collar. Totally cool.

Being that I have chickens, I’d rather see neither in my yard, but I prefer seeing foxes to coyotes.
My experience is that foxes are more elusive while coyotes are more apt to stand their ground and check you out before getting out of dodge.
On the other hand, bobcats bring it to another level!
