Hello. Looking for info on this pistol. We were told by a local collector that this is a 102 Benjamin, made between 1935 - 1938. We're confused because of the 122 on it, but he said the "model wasn't put on until the 13 series"? The paperwork with it says "102 formerly 122". Is there anyone here who can verify what we have by these pics? Or possible direct us to someone who might know and be willing to help? Thank you!

Your pictures are not showing, but here's some more information about the Model 122/102.
The model 122 designation was changed to model 102 in late 1938 through late 1941, when sales of that model were discontinued. Only the paperwork and boxes were marked 102; the rear plug was still stamped 122.
This data comes from years of gathering Benjamin documents and specimens. The boxed example in the attached photo dates to around 1941. Notice it's stamped 102 on the edge of the box.
