Is There An LDC Bigger in Volume Than A Donnie Emporer with the 6" Extension?

It's going on a 357 Max, bullpup so it has some room before it becomes obnoxious. I really dont want to kill these racoons but they are real dicks each nite and I dont want them dropping ticks or fleas here.

They keep breaking out of the Havaheart trap. Yesterday I wired the back they got out of, to see they broke the front door off this morning.

My neighbors bedroom window is 20' from where I will be shooting so I really need to quiet this cannon.

The bigger the better? Maybe something with 20% more volume than the Emperor with its 6" extension?

Of course — theoretically speaking — there is always the option of using a slightly smaller (quieter) caliber, that will kill your foes with slightly less FPE, just as dead. 😄

If this sounds like heresy.... it is. That's why I prefaced it with "theoretically speaking".

Because we like our accessorizing, we like our wild excuses to buy just one more gun or gadget. Ask me how I know.

So, please, by all means:

Carry on!

I've sent dozens of raccoons to feel the warm embrace of Jesus with only a .22 at about 25-30 FPE depending on the day and the gun. Never an issue.

^^^^^that!!!

one way to be safe and quiet is to lower power. People kill coons with .177 to the head with springers. A descent pcp with doomed pellets should have no issues pierce their skull.

Sorry, the idea is insane. Yes, volume with a silencer does make a difference, but there is a point where the pellet or slug actually makes more noise than the gun. That point occurs once a quality standard silencer is used. Anything more is an unnecessary waste. What does make a difference is caliber. The smaller the caliber, the lower the noise.
