Is there a Semi Auto Marauder Pistol?

I want to do a twin/identical build of semi auto marauder pistols for backpack setups. From what I have read it doesn't look like there is a semi auto pistol variant of the Marauder. Does anyone know if the action fitment of the barreled assembly of the Semi Auto Marauder rifle will drop into the grip/frame of a Marauder pistol?

And are the barrels interchangeable/compatible between the semi auto and manual actions? In other words would it be as simple as moving over the shorter barrel and tank from the pistol to the semi auto action?

I'm not looking to understand practicality of the concept. It seems to be a niche that could provide an option of a small semi auto pistol format with a folding stock could be a nice backpack rifle. I'm willing to give it a shot if I can get some input from folks that own the MROD-SA (Semi Auto) and PROD variants.

Cheers,

From what I've been told the SAM platform will not drop exactly into the Marauder pistol chassis because of the guage location and trigger assembly. I've suggested on the AGN forum that a bullpup chassis could easily be designed and would sell well, but no one has built it yet. As for it becoming a true pistol, from my experience in modifying the original SAM, it would definitely require re-tuning to cycle correctly with the smaller volume air tube and barrel.

I've got a SAM that I made shoot fairly hot (for pellets) and steadily around 4 fps, with a random 5 fps swing. To do so I ported the valve body and transfer ports to increase and smooth airflow, and also polished the hammer weight, tube, and trigger sears to lessen friction on the moving parts to make it cycle well. I tried upping the hammer spring tension beyond factory adjustments to get even more speed but it didn't cycle correctly like this because of magazine cycle timing. The 14.3 grain Crosman Premier shoot 940 fps, and 15.89 grain JSB Hades 905 fps.
