Is the Walther Reign UXT worth $399?

Yeah, I've got one. It's a fine gun as they go. Obviously not a high end, $2000 gun !

Yes, the trigger is adjustable, yes, the trigger has a clean, second stage break like many higher end guns, yes the guns are accurate to at least 75 yards, yes the gun/stock is durable. I've had mine for about a year, no air leaks, no other problems. The plastic stock, it seems that it can be beat around a bit without damage.

I had two complaints, and fixed them both with little monetary outlay and a few minutes time. 1. The trigger return spring. It's very stiff. I replaced it with a short ball point pen spring. 2. The hollow stock echo's the mechanical noises of the gun. A piece of sound deadening material, stuck on each side of the inside of the stock, back near the action fixed that problem. I have no other complaints about mine.

Don't know about a regulator installation, don't care.

In my opinion, it's well worth the original asking price of $599, so yeah, $399 for a new or well cared for gun is a good price.

Can the housing end cap be removed to add baffles?

No.

Well, not without a LOT of work !

I've read where people have removed the stock suppressor without a lot of work. I tried to remove mine, carefully. After a LOT...of work, I got nowhere.

The easiest thing to do, is to hack saw off the barrel right behind the suppressor, then clean up the end to it is square to the bore, put a light chamfer in the end of the barrel, and buy a suppressor adapter, and use whatever you want. THEN...I got carried away and removed more barrel !

And yeah, for any neigh-sayers, if you are careful with a sharp file, you CAN square the end of the barrel with the bore..! I can hit bulls-eyes as good as I could with the original, before shortening gun.

So were you able to use the threads on the barrel? or did you hack them off and use something that just slips over the barrel and clamps to it?

NO...no threads on the barrel on the version that I bought (USA). This is why I bought the adapter. The barrel cutting took place after I realized that there were no threads anywhere.

Pressure and an embedded, round snap ring held the suppressor in place. The angled part at the back of the suppressor has had some sort of pressure applied to it. Either in heating of the angled part and cooling of the barrel for placement or a swaging action applied to tighten that part onto the barrel. It was very tight. No bonding, no threads.

That's a very sweet looking shorty you have. Specs state weighs 5.5 pounds is it correct?

The listing is still active and available.

That is good to know there's another option from the seller.

I wonder of the other model is quiet.

Noise level is a major concern and can't shoot in the back yard if it's loud.

As for reference my 22 Gamo Urban is boarder line for me to casually shoot here.

It has the factory large can at the end.

Strange since some reviews stated its very quiet.

My Fortitude is fine.

My Maximus with a TKO22.com silencer is fine.

My Crosman 1701 that had been power upgraded and wears a TKO silencer is fine.

Here is a YouTube video I found for people interested in removing the factory can.
