Does anyone have experience with this MOD? I have read some stating a very minor increase of fps5/10 with HUGE air usage. Then I have read persons stating 30/40 fps this is on the stock bottle 3000 psi & a .45 Texan. Thanks for your input/ help

Is the medium spring upgrade worth it ? TEXAN

I have been told by an avid AirForce Texan shooter that the biggest gain without adding parts is to remove the valve return spring. He said this produces better results than high pressure bottles, extreme valves and stronger hammer springs. I have not tried it though as I am currently happy with my Texans performance but I am sure I will get to a point of trying it in the future.
Of course it goes without saying that before this is tried the bottle must be drained to zero pressure before removing the valve assembly.

How will the valve close without return spring?

I bought the spring set (medium and 4500 spring) and installed it and it did increase V of +-20FPS (not as high as I had hoped) but air consumption close to doubled per shot.
I took the spring out but I'm keeping it because I will put it back in for hunting.
I'll have to try the return spring mod.
