Is the Leshiy for me?

In the powder burner world, I had a Thompson Center, but got out of it. Single shot switch barrel gun. There were more issues with it than an airgun, but some carry over to the Leshiy. Seems like a lot of $$ for a single shot gun. Yes, you can change the barrels, AND you will have to reset the power and re-sight in every time you do. The LOP worries me too. 13.75-14" is a stretch for me. I realize they want the air tube as big as possible, but at 5'6", unless you have arms like an ape, 15" is a long LOP.

It's a great little compact platform. The one appealing aspect is storage, with that in mind I opted for a scope that would not extend past the hinge line. I put a bugbuster on mine and used FX no limit mounts. At 6 foot with a 35" sleeve I really have to climb on the gun to get proper eye relief. BigTinBoat did a post where he explains the use of high offset rings which he uses on his gun with the same scope and the Burris? at my size I think it would make my hold more relaxed. I see some of these guns using full sized scopes with and without the longer 350 mm barrel for me it sort of defeats the purpose of the gun. I took my gun that was shooting 18 grain 22's at around 800 fps,and used the longer 350 mm 177 without touching a setting on the gun it was drilling sparrows at 40-50 yards with the 13 grain JSB's. The scope was adjusted and at that range maxed out provided a good enough view to selectively place my shots with concistant results.

The Leshiy is a great gun to shoot and to own , I have one and it is one of my favorite , Their is a big difference to me with pcp guns and say powder burners , with concerning re zeroing , Every hunt or day of shooting I do re zero ,all of my pcp guns not just leshiy , as temp and conditions and even same ammo changes poi , this matters big time for hitting small targets far away , I own all of the ed guns and all are built like a tank .but they do cost alot of money It kills me to spend say $1500 on a pcp when can get a great powder burner for like less then 500 today , but I can also say the higher end pcp guns are like mini spiper guns now soo accurate , I am more accurate with my pcp guns then my 22 lr guns.

as far as durability I got about 20k threw mine 15k pllets an 5k slugs and not even a oring went bad . only a gage malfunction . I do not like pistols but to me the leshiy is a short rifle capeable of taking small game past 100 yards all day long and wont wear you out carrying it ,

On another note I also had a thompson contender years ago ,ha ,

There are way cheaper models for a short pcp but the leshiy is unique , they do make a model a bit longer the lelya 2.0 , I got this one too , when I saw it I said eww it looks like I would shoot my self in the hand , and say why would anyone want this , and when I got one I totally take back my remarks of critizizing it , these short guns are great when you have a phyisical problem like me , I used to lug around some heavy weapons up to 29 pounds when I was in my prime ,

after being beat up , poisoned shot and got rods in my back , and fake hip , I appreciate walking with a 4.5 pound gun I can take out a suuirrel or crow out with , and best thing it is quiet as a mouse , n one knows I use it in my yard in 22 caliber I dont know about other calibrs LOU

what state u live in ,? f u near me u can try it

The Leshiy is not for everyone but from what I can tell anyone who has one loves it. I personally do. Like goud123 mentioned he has a bug buster on his. I also went with a compact utg accushot scope to keep it flush with the hinge point on the back. Its compact and thats what I like. I can toss it into my camel pack when hiking or even toss it into my fishing tackle bag. As far as being a single shot. There are a bunch of different ways to keep pellets stored on the air gun and ready to go. I personally think that the biggest drawback is the shot count. fortunately there are small portable air tanks that usually will fit in a small bag with the air gun. Also there are ways to bring up the shot count just by tunning or adding a huma regulater or both. I personally left mine stock and in .22 I get about 16 shots. Its not a lot but I keep air on hand. Also its quick to pump up with a hand pump. I know some guys add longer barrels or even suppressor cores but this adds some length to it. I like to keep mine compact. When I change to the .117 barrel I dont mess with the power setting. I just sight it in and im good to go.
