OK, didn't know that about hw barrels. Even so I think the pellets ought to be at least the advertised size. Maybe I just got a bad tin and the other info is wrong. Who knows??? They seem to shoot ok, just a bit of a pain to load.
I hope my words will be understandable as I am neither a technician nor a native speaker.
Together with our QA manager, I checked the head size of the current production lots. The diameter is 5.05mm in average as it should be.
We have no explanation why the pellets you bought are undersized (and 0.15mm is huge in the pellet world). If the tool had been worn out, the diameter would be rather larger. And, as with all diabolo-shaped pellets, the skirt diameter is larger than the head diameter anyway. This means that a pellet which is completely inserted in the "chamber" should not fall out or slip through the barrel.
Thanks for replying. I really did want these to be my favorite pellet hoping that the lighter weight (than the JSB 13.73) wold give a flatter trajectory. Oh well, I've ordered two tins of the JSBs now. Maybe after I shoot them I'll try yours again.
Still out of all my rifles. My AZ rapid 20cal is still one of my accurate guns with the Crossman Premiers. I had stock piled a few cases before they quit making.
