Is My Brocock Sniper Shooting Like Most Shoot?

I have a Fx Wildcat II. I can shoot 40-50 shots and come back and shoot it two days later and it still hits in exactly the same place. Out to 75 yards is all I need now.

On the other hand the Sniper rarely shoots the same place twice. shoot then zero at 50 and the shots are all around the center of the bull at least an inch apart when I come back to shoot in a couple of days. No way can I go pesting with the Sniper and have any confidence in hitting anything over 25 yards.

I've done all the regular things like clean the barrel, make sure the scope mounts are tight etc. If I can do almost hole in hole at 50 with the Wildcat why is the Sniper so erratic??

Is that just the nature of the beast and others are experiencing similar results? The bolt is OK. Not like cycling a FX though. The large capacity bottle is one of the major reasons I got it. I saw on the net the Dreamline Bull Pup with a carbon fiber bottle on it. Many of the dealers hadn't even heard of it yet until I tried to order one. Supposed to be out in April. Hah!! Maybe April of 2020. Just a brief rant! Sorry!

I have a Bantam Sniper HR in .22. Mine maintains POI well, assuming I don't remove and then replace the moderator (which I use on several rifles). If I remove the moderator, then put it back on, the rifle will usually be off enough to need adjustment for consistent hits on a squirrel head size target. It is more finicky in this regard than my other rifles. But, if I leave it alone, it maintains POI well. Have you cleaned the barrel? Your problem doesn't especially sound like a dirty barrel issue, but it's always a good place to start. I have found that most new air rifle barrels have at least some degree of fouling issue before full break in. Your post made me curious, so I shot this bottle cap this morning from my back steps, about 35 yards. I was seated using shooting sticks, and it's windy. Looks like I hit about a quarter inch from center. Given conditions and my mediocre ability, I'm satisfied. I figure, as long as I'm only a squirrel-eye off, I'm okay.

I had a .25 Brocock Bantam Sniper and had the same problem as you. It seemed every day the POI would change. I’d sight it in and feel I could put a pellet in a fleas butt, and the next day there’d be a new POI. Like you I had zero confidence in it when pesting. When it was just sighted in it was awesome...that day. Plus that I’d get unusual flyers. My Huntsman Regal on the other hand is always steady Freddy with a most reliable POI day in and out. I got fed up and traded the Bantam for that .25 Wolverine R HP, on sale at AoA. Good riddance
