Is it truly safe to adjust down FX AMP Regs without relieving all pressure? Has any mucked up their gun doing so or have caused inconsistency in reg? Just wondering because i'm about to do some tuning
I believe you're supposed to turn it quarter turn then fire a shot, and repeat. If you simply make large turns without firing a shot you will damage something..
Exactly correct. I did it for the first time last night after adjusting my reg. too high. After all the warnings about damaging my Crown and voiding the warranty, and then finding out mine had the AMP in it, I still was very worried about doing it. Had to give it a try though, just to see. Worked fine...quarter turn, fire, quarter turn, fire.
So, just turn the adjustment and fire, turn, then fire? It’s okay to not use pellets, just dry fire? What direction in turning does what? CW to increase or decrease pressure?
