I must say that I have not seen any decline in the availability of airgun videos on YouTube. All the channels to which I am subscribed still appear regularly and I do get notification if they have an updated video. Similarly, if I search any topic of interest I routinely get more suggestions than I need (or even want sometimes).
Now, i am not a passive viewer of random airgun (or any other) videos. In other words, i do not depend just on a feed. I either search for a specific topic, or I will search generally for something (e.g. FX Impact tuning videos - by the way, be careful what you wish for, since there are probably thousands of those). I subscribe to channels I like and routinely check in on them. I have also, to the extent possible, turned of tracking and similar cookies on all my devices.
For all the hate that YouTube gets, I find it invaluable for just about anything that I am researching or have an interest in. And no, I don’t miss the “old days of the internet, when it was only on e a PC.” I like being able to access YouTube on my phone or tablet when i am away from home, or even at home away from my PC. I like the fact that just about anyone can, and does, upload videos. I have been helped immensely by random people who have uploaded amazing videos just because they can and want to be helpful. I, for one, do not want to go back to a world where information was closely held, or only in print. Where finding out about anything required a trip to the local library, IF you happened to have a good one in your town. Otherwise you had to travel to a University library or big city library.
YMMV
