Is it as risky as it sounds and looks ?

I have a fx bobcat 25, marauder 25 , (cricket 25 sold, ) there isn’t much difference from the wild cat and my bobcat. Bobcat is to heavy. What I’m after is something more compact , I take trips to west virginia and need 30 cal 75-80 ft lb then , but when I’m at home I want less retained energy for the residential area, so I will go with .177 to keep it safer for pest control around the house. When I pack the rifle up for a trip it must fit in a case in the trunk of my sadan , the bobcat in case doesn’t .
