My good friend in the UK that repaired a lot of pre WWI and pre WWII springers for tim dyson always used lithium. Said moly is just to sticky.

I have seen comments that said the same.... but most major tune videos I have watched, the guys just use the Molybdenum.... I may get bored 1 day and try both. Thanks guys

Prewar guns have lower pressures and leather seals. Detonation is not as much of a problem. Their leather seals are lubricated with neatsfoot oil.

I use Honda 60 Molybdenum on the spring. A very light coat on the piston , a dab on moving cocking pins etc... Krytox on trigger assembly.
