Airforce Is Airforce Talon .177 (no P, no SS) backyard friendly if I tune it down to 700-750 fps ?

I want to buy my first PCP but most rifles around 500-600$ that shoot .177 are way too big. And only talon that look good, compact, no air leakage review. Only problem that the noise is level 5. Im broke so cant spend 100$ for talonSS and another few hundred buck for a silencer. TY!

if you are going to get a airforce.. get a SS.. it's just as quiet as one with a additional moderator..no difference.. and yes you can turn even a Condor SS 22 down to the noise level of any PCP.. just get a ring lock kit and turn down your power wheel..
although airforce is also known as the most powerful per caliber airguns..

100% agree.

70+ fpe from the .25 Condor SS I've recently been playing with is surprisingly quiet. Turned down to even 55-60 and it's even quieter. I've almost been considering putting a smaller cal barrel in it and getting it around 30fpe for I'm sure impressive quietness.

A .177 Condor SS in the 700-750 fps range is going to be as quiet as most moderated airguns. Especially if the moderator being compared is one of the brands that is better at marketing than they are at hushing.

Another neat thing I'm finding with the Condor SS is that the baffles are all contained in the one piece aluminum frame. There's nothing hanging off the barrel or adaptors or a big long pickle sticking way out there. Condor SS method is a much more robust manner of hushing an airgun than the industry standard of Jerry rigging shrouds and adaptors onto the barrel itself.

You can add a moderator to the SS to make it even quieter.

End cap to 1/2-20:

Reximex Silent Force moderator works great. I have it on 1 Condor and 2 Talons.
For under $40 shipped

Remove the secondary weight on the hammer buy the DonnyFL adapter $50 + a fx moderator from trenier that is only like $65 and put some curls with felt on it buy the rimlock kit so you could try smaller ports $60 n that's it a silent back yard plinker, for less than $550

If only my hands had the dexterity to handle .177 anymore. I probably droped more than I loaded before I just gave up and got rid of my .177 guns.

There was a blue .25 model d for 359 the other day. I was obviously just a little too slow and it was gone when I tried to buy it.

I wasn't letting that one go so I sold one of my extra Doug valve.. and got one , have to pick it up on Monday.. I really didn't needed . that valve .. the TalonP valve is more than enough for what I needed.

After about 2 or 3 guns "I really didn't need" is probably more than a little accurate.

After about 15 it is just another obsession. 😀

😁 I always keep my count at 10 .. even when 10 is still is still to much. Just sold my .30 uragan a few months ago .. I'm in a point that will only buy if something is sold.
